Royal Enfield has reported a 1.92 per cent growth in domestic sales to 55,910 units in September 2020. The two-wheeler manufacturer had sold 54,858 units in the domestic market in the year-ago month.

In September 2020, Royal Enfield’s product portfolio in the domestic market included the Bullet 350, the Classic 350, the Himalayan, the Continental GT 650 and the Interceptor 650.
Royal Enfield witnessed an 11.01 per cent decline in export sales to 4,131 units in September 2020. The figure stood at 4,642 units in September 2019.

However, the total sales (domestic + export) of Royal Enfield grew marginally by 0.91 per cent to 60,041 units in September 2020 from 59,500 units in September 2019.
There has been a constant growth in the total wholesale numbers of Royal Enfield after April 2020 — a month that saw manufacturing operations being halted in the wake of the nationwide lockdown imposed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The two-wheeler manufacturer had sold 19,113 units in May 2020, 38,065 units in June 2020, 40,334 units in July 2020 and 50,144 units in August 2020.

Royal Enfield’s next introduction in India is expected to be the Thunderbird-successor — the Meteor 350. We are expecting the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 to be priced around Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
