Thiruvananthapuram: Bharat Sevak award of Central Bharat Sevak Samaj, a National Development Agency, received Junaid Kaipani, chairman of Wayanad district panchayat welfare standing committee, for Best Zila Panchayat Member.
Bharat SS, a National Development Agency established in 1952 under the Planning Commission of the Central Government, is an agency accredited by the National Institution for Transforming India.
Chairman B. S. Balachandra presented the Award on the dais of Satbhavana Bhavan. Central Samaj Director General Manju Sreekanthan, Join Director Sindhu Madhu and others participated.
Central Samaj Joint Director, Sindhu Madhu said that he was selected because of his excellent performance and developmental activities he has been doing as a Self Government Representative, belongs to the only aspirational district Wayanad in Kerala under the aspirational district programme of Central Government Neethi Ayog.
Aspirational district programme was started by the Central Government in the year 2018 for the development of backward districts in the country.
Local Self Government Institutions also have great roles in the developmental activities of Wayanad, the only district that has found its place in the Aspirational District Programme of Neethi Ayog
