New Delhi: Junaid Kaipani, chairman of the Standing Committee of Wayanad District Panchayat Welfare Affairs, received the Babasaheb Ambedkar National Award for the best People’s Representative of Local Self Government in the country.
The function was held at Delhi Indian International Centre and the MSME Oasis officials presented the award.
The award was given to Junaid Kaipani, who is actively involved in social-cultural-knowledge-philanthropy, for his style and approach to make the local system more popular as a people’s representative.
Oasis Director Dr Sushama k appreciated the efforts made by Junaid Kaipani to bring the concepts related to development and decentralization put forward by the local system into practice in short time.
