“Nirbhaya”, a self-defense training program for women, has been implemented by the Kerala Police since 2015 as part of the Janamaithri Suraksha program, which aims to curb the growing violence against women and thereby reduce crime and ensure the safety of women. How to use the app
The location of the person using the phone can be found at the nearest police control room or police station by pressing and holding the help button on the app for five seconds. You can share messages, location and police with this app without internet coverage.
On the mobile phone where the Nirbhaya app is installed, one can request help from any district. There is also an option to send a photo or video with a single click. Even if the attacker snatches the phone while trying to send a voice message, the message will not be canceled. Live footage and other evidence will prove to the police.
