a professional Twenty20 cricket league established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007. The tournament is scheduled to start on 26 March 2022, and conclude with the final on 29 May 2022.

The second match will be between Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants. Kolkata, who have won three of their last four matches, are top of the points table. Under the new captain Shreyas Iyer, they have become the giants of the season. Cummins, who shone with the bat in his first match, is strengthening Kolkata. Kolkata have a deep batting line-up and excellent spinners.
