The incident took place on March 19. According to Sabu’s brother, he was strangled to death by his drunken brother. However, the police said that Babu’s brother Sabu may have buried him thinking that he was unconscious when he was strangled. Part of the soil was found in Babu’s lungs at postmortem. Police also confirmed that his unconscious brother was presumed dead and buried.
The body was found in an empty field by two men who came to tie the cow in the morning. In one part of the field, the soil was loose. When he called the locals and came back, he found that the soil that had been removed earlier had been put back. Suspicious locals removed the soil and found hollow brick blocks lined with soil. The body of the deceased was found when the blocks were removed. Babu was tattooed on this hand. The locals immediately informed the Cherp police.
